Full Itinerary
Day 1: Yangon Arrival
Arrive in Yangon where you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in and relaxation.
Day 2: Yangon City Tour – Shwedagon Pagoda (Sunset) (B)
Explore Yangon’s downtown area, known for its unique blend of colonial-era architecture and vibrant local life. Highlights include the historic Post Office, Strand Hotel, Mahabandoola Garden, and Independence Monument. Visit Chauk Htat Kyi Pagoda, home to a विशाल reclining Buddha, followed by a photo stop at Karaweik Hall. End the day with a breathtaking sunset at the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar’s most sacred site.
Day 3: Yangon – Mandalay – Amarapura (B)
Take a morning flight to Mandalay, the last royal capital of Myanmar. Discover traditional craftsmanship at local workshops, then visit the Golden Palace Monastery and Kuthodaw Pagoda, often referred to as the “world’s largest book.” Conclude the day at U Bein Bridge, the longest teak bridge in the world, for a memorable sunset.
Day 4: Mandalay – Amarapura – Ava – Mandalay (B)
Visit Mahagandayon Monastery in Amarapura before heading to Ava, once a royal capital. Explore historic sites such as Bagaya Monastery, Nanmyin Tower, and ancient palace ruins. Enjoy a horse-cart ride through peaceful villages and visit a silk weaving workshop. Return to Mandalay and watch the sunset from Mandalay Hill.
Day 5: Mandalay – Bagan (B)
Travel overland to Bagan, stopping at Mount Popa, an extinct volcano considered the spiritual center of nat worship. Upon arrival, begin exploring Bagan’s vast archaeological zone, home to thousands of ancient temples and pagodas.
Day 6: Bagan Exploration & Villages (B)
Visit a lively local market and nearby villages to experience daily life in Myanmar. Continue exploring Bagan’s iconic temples, including the magnificent Ananda Temple. Observe traditional lacquerware production before enjoying a stunning sunset over the temple plains.
Day 7: Bagan – Kalaw (B)
Drive to Kalaw, a former British hill station known for its cool climate and scenic landscapes. Check in to your hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening.
Day 8: Kalaw – Inle Lake (B)
Visit Kalaw Market and nearby pagodas, including Hnee Pagoda and Shwe U Min Cave. Admire colonial-era buildings before transferring to Nyaung Shwe. En route, stop at Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery. Upon arrival, take a boat transfer to your hotel on Inle Lake.
Day 9: Inle Lake Discovery (B)
Enjoy a full-day boat tour on Inle Lake. Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and observe traditional crafts such as silk weaving and blacksmithing. Explore stilt villages and floating gardens, and experience the unique lifestyle of the Intha people.
Day 10: Inle Lake – Indein (B)
Visit the rotating local market, where hill tribes gather to trade goods. Continue by boat to Indein, known for its ancient stupas and scenic pathways. Discover local villages, handicrafts, and the famous leg-rowing fishermen of Inle Lake.
Day 11: Inle Lake – Heho – Yangon (B)
Fly back to Yangon and visit Scott Market, a bustling hub for local handicrafts and souvenirs. Continue exploring the city’s cultural diversity with visits to St. Mary’s Cathedral, Sule Pagoda, and the historic synagogue. Wander through Little India and Chinatown for a glimpse of Yangon’s multicultural charm.
